Equus quagga burchellii
This is the head of a plains zebra, formerly known as Burchell’s zebra. This zebra originates from southern and eastern Africa. They live on open grasslands, savannahs, steppes and forest savannahs. They are herd animals and active grazers. In the dry season, several herds join together to form large herds of sometimes more than a thousand animals. They then move together to wetter areas.
